Biography
Dr. Kebret Kebede received his M.D. from Aristotle University in Greece and has practiced medicine both in Europe and in the United States. An active scholar, Dr. Kebede has presented his work at the Human Anatomy and Physiology Society and the American College of International Physicians. As a biology professor at Nevada State College, Dr. Kebede draws heavily on his medical experiences to provide pre-nursing students with practical, real-world perspectives on medicine. Along similar lines, he helps students understand the myriad mechanics of the human body through intense and thorough study of cadavers as well as associated pathology. Dr. Kebede is deeply committed to providing students with a multicultural education and has presented his work on incorporating diversity into anatomy and physiology education to a national audience. Dr. Kebede is also devoted to giving back to the global community and actively participates in worldwide medical missions aimed at providing much-needed medical care to impoverished and underserved communities in developing countries. By bringing Nevada State College students on these medical missions, Dr. Kebede aims to instill this commitment to serving our global community in our future health care providers.
